All are wel­come to join us for the launch of Aspex Portsmouth’s Autumn pro­gramme of exhi­bi­tions, includ­ing a pre­view of The Plat­form Grad­u­ate Award.

From photography to textiles and sculpture, this multi-disciplinary group exhibition will showcase the region’s most exciting emerging artists, as they kickstart their artistic careers having recently graduated.

On the evening, Joanne Bushnell, Director of Aspex, will announce Aspex’s nominee for this year’s Platform Graduate Award (an annual initiative led by CVAN SE) who will join a shortlist of five other artists selected by Platform’s regional gallery partners in the running for the annual prize.

Port Coffee will be selling alcohol and soft drinks throughout the evening.

Artist networking

From 5.30pm, we invite artists for an extra half an hour of the preview to take advantage of an opportunity for networking. Whether you live locally or further afield, pop in to meet other artists and make new connections, or catch up with peers already known to you.
